Dandelion, often considered a weed, has many health benefits. Its leaves are rich in vitamins (A, C, K, and some of the B group), minerals (iron, calcium, potassium) and antioxidants. Traditionally used as a diuretic, dandelion helps eliminate excess water and relieve bloating. Its roots stimulate digestion by promoting the production of bile, helping to reduce constipation and indigestion, and supporting liver function.
Research suggests that it may also help regulate cholesterol and blood sugar, although more studies are needed to confirm these effects in humans. Dandelion's antioxidants protect against oxidative stress by neutralizing free radicals.
